Two player arcade game proof of concept.
Working with a sound designer and game designer, I created a proof of concept for an arcade game to utilise the Visospace Alto: a hoverboard type VR locomotion peripheral.
The experience features several visual techniques to reduce discomfort, including a cockpit surround and particle streams to show direction of movement.
Players capture yellow active segments of the board, whilst a wave sweeps and changes the arena layout.
- Networked with UNET including a default lobby for team selection, networked score and music scripts.
- Adaptive music system, using networked game score to select interchangable music stems from WWISE
- Extensive user testing and project iteration as prototype locomotion hardware and OpenVR plugins were developed
